Hark ye, lovers of Shakespeare! If thou wouldst like to expand upon thy skills and explore even more of Shakespeare’s work, then you should take this Shakespeare class! We will cover Shakespeare Improv, acting technique, creating exciting Shakespearean characters, basic stage combat and much more as we prepare for our performance at the end of the semester. Students will prepare a compilation short scenes to be performed ON STAGE in the Semester Showcase.
Prerequisite: Students must have one of the following to take this course:

Times: 6:15 – 8:00 PM

Class Size Limit: 14 Students (Full Class)
Student Ages: Grades 7-12
Dress Rehearsal: Monday, December 2, 2024, 7:00-8:15pm
Semester Showcase: Saturday, December 14, 2024, 3:00pm
Semester Showcase Location: Sand Creek High School Auditorium
Showcase Production Fee: A production fee of $60 will be charged on November 1st. Production fees will be discounted for families with multiple students or multiple classes ($45 for a second class or student and $25 for the third, with a maximum of $130 per family).
Showcase Tickets: Tickets are not needed to attend the Semester Showcase so families can invite guests to attend the performance without cost!
Costumes: Students will be required to provide their own costumes for the show. Most costumes can be created from items around your home or from Goodwill.

A 5% discount will be given if semester tuition is paid in full at the time of registration.

Military Discount*
Students who have a military parent qualify for a 10% discount.
Multi-Class Discount*
We offer a 10% discount for each additional class a student takes in one semester.

*Students may use only one discount per class and all discounts will be applied to the equal or lesser value class.
Bob is thrilled to be on the team with the Academy of Children’s Theatre! Bob is currently a lecturer with The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Robert is a trained actor and a member of Actor’s Equity Association, The Screen Actor’s Guild, and The Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. He specializes in comedic theatre training derived from his work at The Second City, Carnivores In Action, and Burnt Toast. He has worked as an actor and director at The Signature Theatre (NYC), The Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Theatreworks (Colorado Springs), Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival, Tennessee Repertory Theater, and many more. Some of Bob’s favorite roles are, Falstaff-Merry Wives of Windsor, Scrooge-A Christmas Carol, The Complete Works of Shakespeare, John Adams-1776, Hook-Peter Pan, and Herod-Jesus Christ Superstar.
