Location: 481 Windchime Place, Colorado Springs, CO 80919 (LOWER LEVEL of the Windchime Center.)
Casting Eligibility:Anyone from 6-years-old through adults may audition.
Tuition: There is no fee to audition. IF cast, tuition will be charged for actors 21-years-old and younger. (See section on tuition for further details.)
Cast Information: We anticipate casting around 30-34 actors. (Some actors will be cast in more than one role. Ensemble roles not listed here.)

THE AUDITION PROCESS
The Audition Process
1.Schedule your audition time.
Auditions: May 6-10* (By Appointment) *If you are unable to attend any of the audition dates, please contact us atDirector@ACTcolorado.net
Once your audition has been scheduled you will receive a confirmation e-mail within 48 hours. If you do NOT receive a confirmation e-mail please contact us atdirector@ACTcolorado.netto confirm we received your audition time.
4.Audition(30 minutes): A maximum of 5 people will be scheduled for each 30 minute audition time.
Acting Audition: Memorize 1 character from 1 acting scene in the audition materials tab.
Vocal Audition: If you are interested in auditioning for a solicitor/quartet singer, please prepare the scene AND 32 bars from any Christmas carol.
5.Bring your completed audition form, your consent form and a recent photo of you to your audition.
6.By May 14, you will receive an email letting you know if you are being called back for a second audition or not.(If you are not called back, you are not in the running to be cast.)
8.Callbacks will be held on May 18 (Saturday) from 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.(We will be calling back actors in groups depending upon the roles for which they are being considered. Those who are called back will be given a schedule for the day and acting scenes to read over.)
9.The show will be cast by May 20. All performers who are called back will receive an email announcing if they were cast or not.
10.There will be a cast and parent meeting on May 21 at from 5:00-7:30 PM in the studio.If cast, your tuition payment will be due at this time.
11.Once cast, each performer will schedule a 30-minute costume fitting & makeup matching appointment for May 22-23.
Audition Dates: May 6-10 (By Appointment)
Those interested in auditioning will schedule one audition time of 30 minutes. There will be 5 people scheduled for each 30-minute audition slot. If you are unable to attend any of the audition dates, please contact us.
Once your audition has been scheduled, you will receive a confirmation email within 2 business days. If you do NOT receive a confirmation email, please contact us at director@ACTcolorado.net.
Memorize ONE of the scenes for ONE of the characters posted here. Not all characters are included in these audition selections. No matter which piece you choose, you will be considered for every role. (It would be wise to be familiar with all the scenes, but only 1 needs to be memorized.)
Solicitor (Quimby, Rummidge, Worthy, Do-Well)These 4 characters will also sing carols as a quartet throughout the show. If interested in one of these roles, please prepare the scene AND 32 bars of any Christmas carol. You may sing acapella or bring in background music to use.
The Academy of Community Theatre (ACT II) strives to not only produce a high-quality show, but we also focus on training each actor in the process, hence the name “Academy.” Since this is an academy for training, as well as performing, a tuition fee is charged if you are cast in the show. Actors who are 22-years-old and older have often finished their higher education, so we waive the tuition for them and request (not require) only a small production fee.
Tuition (For actors 21 and under): $350 (If paid in full at the first cast meeting on May 21.)

Shoes (Actor will provide his/her own shoes that fit the character and costume.)
Eyeliner, mascara, and chapstick. (These cannot be shared, so you will need to provide your own.)
Females: Nude color leotard for under the costume.
Males: Undershirt and shorts for under the costume.
