Dance Audition

Dancers should come dressed in dance-appropriate attire with hair pulled back and pinned off of the face. They should bring either jazz shoes, ballet shoes or lyrical shoes.  If the dancer is en pointe, she should bring pointe shoes, too. (Please only bring pointe shoes if you are an intermediate-advanced dancer en pointe.)

The dance audition will consist of learning a contemporary/lyrical style combination and a small amount of improv from the choreographer.  After rehearsing the combination, dancers will perform the combination for the audition.

The Academy of Community Theatre (ACT II) strives to not only produce a high-quality show but also focus on training each actor in the process, hence the name “Academy.” Since this is an academy for training, as well as performing, tuition is charged if you are cast in the show. Actors who are 22-years-old and older have often finished their higher education, so we waive the tuition for them and request (not require) only a production fee of $100.

Tuition: The tuition fee of $500 will be divided up into 4 equal payments which will automatically be charged to your card on file on the following dates unless you specify that you’d like to pay in full at registration.

  • $125 due by August 7
  • $125 due on September 1
  • $125 due on October 1
  • $125 due on November 1

What is included in the tuition:

  • Training during “Intensives”
  • Stage Combat Training (Select Performers)

  • Show T-shirts or Hoodies (These may be ordered at the initial cast meeting if desired.)
  • Shoes (Actor will provide his/her own shoes that fit the character and costume.)
