Academy of Community Theatre (ACT II)
ACT II

To serve the young actor, the local schools, and the community

with wholesome, educational, high-quality theatre.

2020-2021 Season

The Academy of Community Theatre (ACT II) is sad to announce the cancelation of our 2020-2021 season. With all the uncertainties surrounding live theatre and large group gatherings, we believe it is best to take a year off from our main stage shows.

Please know that this is just an intermission!

Over the next year, we’ll focus on developing our actors and working behind the scenes so we’re ready to once again bring you fantastic, main stage shows to enjoy!

Supporting the Actors

During this upcoming school year, our sister company, the Academy of Children’s Theatre (ACT) will remain OPEN!

ACT continues to give our actors a place to learn and grow through our summer camps and semester classes. Right now, we’re finalizing our fall schedule so class listings should be posted online in the near future. (Keep an eye out for our email announcing when registration is open.)

Our fall semester will start the week of August 17.  Students from 4-years-old through High School can take classes in Acting, Musical Theatre, Broadway Combo, Voice, Dance, Shakespeare, and more.

Along with our wide selection of these principal classes, we’ll also be offering some advanced classes for those students who have been in shows with ACT II or at their schools and have already been developing their craft.

These classes will require an audition and will have limited capacity. Selection will not be on a first-come, first-served basis, but will take into account previous experience and training, along with ability shown by the actor in the audition. Details about these classes and the audition process will be posted online at www.ACTcolordo.net.

Between our principal classes and these new advanced options, there’s a place for everyone.

We want this to be a year of development and discovery!
