AUDITION INFORMATION

Location: 481 Windchime Place 

Casting Eligibility: Anyone from 11-19 years old may audition. (Those who are 19 must still be enrolled in High School to audition.) 

Tuition: There is no fee to audition.  IF cast, tuition will be charged. (See section on tuition for further details.)

THE AUDITION PROCESS

THE AUDITION PROCESS

  1. Schedule your audition time.

    Auditions: December 3-4* (By Appointment)
    *If you are unable to attend any of the audition dates, please contact us at Director@ACTcolorado.net

    Once your audition has been scheduled you will receive a confirmation e-mail. If you do NOT receive a confirmation e-mail from Sign Up Genius, please contact us at director@ACTcolorado.net to confirm we received your audition time.     

  2. Complete audition form (Bring to AUDITION)

  3. Fill out consent form. (Bring to AUDITION)

  4. Audition (15 minutes)

    A maximum of 5 people will be scheduled for each 15 minute audition time.

    Initial Audition: Please choose only one song that you would like to audition with. (The songs and the sheet music are posted in the tab for Audition Songs.)

  5. Bring your completed audition form, your consent form and a recent photo of you to your audition.

  6. By December 9, you will receive an email letting you know if you are being called back for a second audition or not. (If you are not called back, you are not in the running to be cast.)

  7. Call backs will be held on December 10 & 12 from 4:00-8:30 pm (We will be calling back actors in groups depending upon the roles for which they are being considered. Those who are called back will be given a schedule for the day and acting scenes to read over.)

  8.  The show will be cast by December 15. All performers who are called back will receive an email announcing if they were cast or not.

  9. There will be a cast and parent meeting on Tuesday December 17 at 5:00 PM in the studio. If cast, your tuition payment will be due at this time.

  10. Once cast, each performer will schedule a 20 minute costume fitting appointment in December.

Those interested in auditioning, will schedule one audition time of 15 minutes. There will be 5 people scheduled for each 15 minute audition slot.  If you are unable to attend any of the audition dates, please contact us.

TUITION DETAILS

Tuition

The Academy of Community Theatre (ACT II) strives to not only produce a high-quality show, we also focus on training each actor in the process, hence the name “Academy.” Since this is an academy for training, as well as performing, a tuition is charged if you are cast in the show.

Tuition: $350 (If paid in full at the first cast meeting on December 17th.)

Tuition Payment Option: 

  • $100 due on December 17
  • $70 due on January 4 (at first rehearsal)
  • $70 due on February 1
  • $70 due on March 1
  • $70 due on April 1

What is included in the tuition:

  • Training during “Intensives”
  • Scheduled Rehearsals
  • All Performances
  • Script (to keep)
  • Rehearsal CD (to keep)
  • Costume usage

What is not included in the tuition:

  • Tickets to the performances
  • The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley Jr. T-shirts or Hoodies (These may be ordered at the initial cast meeting, if desired.)
  • Undergarments (Some actors will need a nude-colored leotard or t-shirt to wear under costumes for quick changes)
  • Shoes

Stage Makeup:

  • If you would like to use ACT II’s makeup and supplies, there will be a $15 makeup usage fee.
  • If you would like to use your own personal stage makeup, there is no additional fee.
