INTERMEDIATE & ADVANCED DANCE FOR MUSICAL THEATRE: Grades 6-12
Fridays 6:15-8:15 PM
Musical Selections from various Broadway Musicals

Are you ready to take the next step in your musical theatre dance skills? If so, this class is for you. Since multiple dance styles are often woven together to create interesting numbers for musical theatre, you will be developing greater techniques in tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, and contemporary styles. We will also be increasing your flexibility, strength, and performance techniques to learn how to portray an interesting character through dance that goes beyond just technical dancing. Students will also learn choreography techniques and will have the opportunity to choreograph elements that will be incorporated into their Semester Showcase performance.

Along with the Semester Showcase performance, we will seek out additional opportunities for students to perform in the community. These opportunities will be contingent on the level of parental availability and involvement.
