For nearly a decade, the Academy of Children’s Theatre has won back-to-back Best of the Springs Awards. We’ve been repeatedly honored for our theatre company, semester classes, summer camps, and several other distinctions. We’ve also received the Arts Business Education Consortium Arts Opportunities Award. At ACT, you’ll receive top notch, professional training in a fun, friendly, and family-safe environment.
ACT Theatre Camps are offered over Spring Break and throughout the summer for students who want to have fun and learn! Just like our semester classes, we offer a wide variety of camps options from Acting to Vocals with Dance and everything in between. Camps run Monday-Friday with each camp performing on stage at the end of the week for family and friends to enjoy.
All of Our Classes and Camps Culminate with An On-Stage Showcase Performance!
Whether students want to develop their talent to become a professional actor or just want to have fun, the Academy of Children’s Theatre (ACT) is the right place to be.
Our instructors are qualified professionals who give students the training they need to succeed. This not only includes on-stage experience, but they’ll learn skills and techniques needed to advance in acting or musical theatre. From the basics of stage directions to learning how to develop a complex character persona, students are given the skills to take their talent to the next level.
For all of our students, acting is a fun way to make friends and a path to develop personal character. Through acting, students learn powerful life skills such as empathy and understanding others as they consider the perspective of the characters they’re portraying. Students develop confidence in front of other people, whether it be on stage, presenting a book report at school, or even a job interview. They also cultivate creativity as they develop characters for the stage and learn to think quickly on their feet during improvisational games and live theatre.
If you are considering theatre classes for student, I hope you will contact us today. There are great things ahead!

“Lynn Hamilton and her expert staff at the Academy of Children’s Theatre are developing wonderfully talented young professionals! I recently auditioned a group of their students and was so impressed by their level of talent, as well as their exceptional attitudes and professionalism, that I am now representing many of them in professional acting and print markets.”
