This is a fun and creative class filled with a combination of improv, games, and acting for the stage. Students will learn a variety of acting skills and techniques throughout the semester. The class will prepare a show and perform an original, one-act play ON STAGE in the Semester Showcase.
Script Description: A Fairly Odd Tale is an original one-act comedy. As so often happens, it starts with a forest. Characters from the most loved stories find themselves wandering through the woods, being accosted by trolls and wolves and evil queens. Things get really confusing when stories cross and it all becomes a desperate battle between the “good guys” and the “bad guys!” Cowardly princes, overbearing Fairy Godmothers, lazy dwarves and cat-fighting princesses….can they work together in order to save themselves?

Acting & Musical Theatre Instructor
Felicia is beyond thrilled to be on the team of ACT! She began performing at the age of 12 and has been committed to the craft ever since. Previous to graduating college she spent time in Los Angeles working on various film and television sets including Jersey Boys and Castle. In 2015 she returned to her alma mater Pine Creek High School to Assistant Direct their Spring Production of “Xanadu” which was awarded a MainStage slot and high praise at the International Thespians Festival in Lincoln, Nebraska. She graduated from CCU with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Minor in Theatre in 2016. She then went on to start her own private acting coaching business which saw many young performers earn their first professional contracts. She has also been a guest instructor for various schools throughout Colorado. Felicia has performed in theaters and vocal concerts all over Colorado Springs as well as being a soloist and board member for Soli Deo Gloria Choir. Her greatest desire is to show young performers the value of excellence in art and to share everything that the performing arts have given to her.
