WINTER CLASS

Dance for Musical Theatre: Grades 9 - 12

Dance for Musical Theatre: Selections from The Wizard of Oz

Do you love musical theatre but need more training in dance skills? If so, this class is for you. Since multiple dance styles are often woven together to create interesting numbers for musical theatre, you will be developing techniques in tap and jazz with some hip hop influences. We will also be increasing your flexibility, strength, and performance techniques to learn how to portray an interesting character through dance that goes beyond just technical dancing. Students will prepare and perform selections from the musical The Wizard of OZ.
