Ballet is one of the most precise foundational skills used in musical theatre, a base for almost all dance forms and physical movement. This class is dedicated to honing ballet technique to help in musical theatre productions. Students will learn important skills strengthening technical abilities in both foundational and complex ballet steps. Class will focus on the correct execution of ballet steps through barre, center work, and across the floor combinations, while working on proper body placement and posture, building strength and flexibility.
There aren’t any prerequisites for this class.
This is a non-performance class that is designed to increase your technique in ballet. There will not be any in-studio or on-stage performance.

Semester Showcase
This is a NON-PERFORMANCE class. Instead of performing in the Semester Showcase on stage, students will perform some dance numbers in the ACT studio for family to enjoy on the last day of class.

Since this is a non-performance class which ends in November, there isn’t a tuition payment for December or a Production fee.
A 5% discount will be given if semester tuition is paid in full at the time of registration.
Military Discount*
Students who have a military or veteran parent qualify for a 10% discount.
Multi-Class Discount*
We offer a 10% discount for each additional class a student takes in one semester.
Sibling Discount*
We offer a 10% discount for each additional sibling who participates in classes.
*Students may use only one discount per class and all discounts will be applied to the equal or lesser value class.
Elyse began dancing at the young age of four and has been dancing ever since. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs in 2011. Elyse has been a dance instructor for ten years and has directed numerous dance productions including How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Lion King, and The Christmas Letter! She has won awards at statewide dance competitions, including Best Choreography, Entertainment Awards, and Best Costume. She loves sharing her passion for theatre and dance with her students and is excited to be working with ACT & ACT II!
