Musical Theatre Camp: Grades 6-8

Session 3

Musical Selections from Encanto

Ever wonder how people can act, dance, and sing all at the same time? Interested in seeing if musical theater is for you? This camp will focus on using acting skills while singing and dancing within musical theatre. Along with learning new skills and playing fun theater improvisations, the students will prepare a medley of choreographed songs and acting scenes from Encanto to perform ON STAGE for family and friends to enjoy! 

Camp Dates: May 25 – 29, 2026 (Camp DOES meet on Memorial Day)

Times: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM 

Camp Size Limit: 16 Students 

Shoes Requested: Black Jazz Shoes

Food: Students should bring 2 snacks, a sack lunch, and a water bottle each day.

Showcase Performance:

Camp Showcase: Friday, May 29, 1:15pm

Showcase Location: Will be held at Sand Creek High School Theatre. 

Showcase Tickets: Tickets are not needed to attend the Camp Showcase so families can invite guests to attend the performance without cost!

Costumes: Students will provide their own costumes for the show. Most costumes can be created from items around your home or from Goodwill.

Tuition Payment:

Payment: $395 – if paid in full at registration

Tuition Payment Plan:

  • $125 Due at Registration
  • $100 Due March 1
  • $100 Due April 1
  • $100 Due May 1

Summer Camp Refund Policy:

If a student is withdrawn from Summer Camp BEFORE May 1st, the tuition will be refunded minus the $100 non-refundable deposit.

If a student is withdrawn from Summer Camp after May 1st, no refund will be given. However, if ACT is able to fill your spot with another student, then ACT will refund the tuition less the $100 deposit. 

Tuition Discounts:

Military Discount*

Students who have a military or veteran parent qualify for a 10% discount.

Multi-Class Discount*

We offer a 10% discount for each additional camp a student takes over the summer.

Sibling Discount*

We offer a 10% discount for each additional sibling who participates in a camp over the summer.

*Students may use only one discount per class and all discounts will be applied to the equal or lesser value camp.

Voice & Musical Theatre Instructor

Class Instructor

Lee Ann Soulvie is currently a full-time choral and piano teacher in Colorado Springs, and has been teaching voice, choir and musical theatre for almost 30 years!  She grew up in Illinois, where she began performing at a young age in voice, dance and theatre.  She majored in Musical Theatre from Millikin University in Decatur, IL and received her Masters in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from Webster University in St. Louis.  Her life long passions for performance coupled with teaching have brought many rewarding opportunities along the way for her and her students.  She has performed as a choral soloist, appeared in many musicals, operas, directed/choreographed numerous musicals for children’s groups through adults, and owns High Note Studio where she teaches privately. 

Mrs. Soulvie is also an avid essential oil user and believer in healthy living! She follows the St. Louis Cardinals in the summer when not working and loves to plant flowers and sit outside to enjoy the sun and relax!  She is married with an adult daughter and two dogs!
