Willy Wonka Jr. - Callback Information

Congratulations on being called back for Willy Wonka Jr. Please take time to read through all of the information on this page so that you will do your very best at the callbacks on Wednesday & Thursday!.

Bring water! Be sure that you are familiar with all of the materials below that pertain to the character you are called back for, and print sides/songs as necessary so that you have a copy. If you have questions, please email director@actcolorado.net.

Callback List

As you look at the callback list, remember that some performers will be called back for multiple roles, so please read the list carefully.

As you look through the callback materials, we ask that you are familiar with all scenes and songs for EACH role for which you are called back; however, you might not be asked to perform all of them. You do NOT need to memorize anything, but you should be familiar with anything about the role(s) for which you are called back.

Any actor called for specific roles are called back on Wednesday. Please refer to the schedule to know which role is called when

Everyone will be included in the dance callback on Thursday, so please dress in clothes you can dance in freely and comfortable closed-toe shoes. If you have dance shoes, please bring them.

There will be two dance callbacks. Everyone is called for the first dance callback. The second dance callback will be for featured dancers only. This will take place right after the first dance callback.

Callback Schedule: Wednesday, December 17th & Thursday, December 18th

December 17th 4:00-8:00 pm: ACTING & VOCAL CALLBACK

4:00-4:30: Oompa Lompas & Willy Wonka
4:40-6:40: Willy Wonka, Charlie Bucket, Grandpa Joe, Phinea Trout, All Named Kids and Parents (Excluding the Bucket family)
6:50-8:00: Mrs. Bucket, Mr. Bucket, Grandpa Joe, Grandma Georgina, Grandma Josephina

December 18th 5:00-8:00 pm: DANCE CALLBACK (Everyone is called for the dance callback)

5:00-6:30: Dance Callback
6:30-8:00: Featured Dancer Callback

Here are FULL songs that may be used (in their entirety, and sung in parts) during callbacks. These do NOT need to be memorized. We ask that you PRINT and bring the sheet music with you. Check each song carefully to see if the character you are called back for sings a solo within it.

EVERYONE should be familiar with “Candy Man” and the songs from the original audition page.
